Stripping run
From Distillers Wiki
A stripping run is a distillation which is done quickly without cuts in order to clean up wash before it is re-distilled.
The product of a stripping run is often called low wines which are stronger in proof than the wash, but not as strong as the final spirit
Regarding the removal of methanol, some people throw out the first 50 ml of the stripping run, and 50 ml of of the final run while some people say that only the first 50 ml of the final run should be thrown out.
