Creme de Cassis

Liqueur from Dijon, France. Blackcurrant; Appelation Controlee from 1923. Must contain 15% alc; blackcurrants macerated in neutral spirits or brandy for two months. First produced in 1841.
It's used a lot to make Kir ( a little bit of cassis mixed with foam wine ), Kir Royale is made with Champagne.
