Benzene

A colorless, highly flamable, aromatic cancer-causing hydrocarbon (C6H6) present to a minor degree in most crude oils. Some important products manufactured from benzene are styrene, phenol, nylon and synthetic detergents. Benzene is also used to obtain Absolute ethanol.
